Since I have quite a few books in the Deep Magic series from Kobold Press, many of the options for arcane characters look familiar, like the Angelic Scribe, High Magic and Elementalist. Patient willing to relocate? About whipping sex and everything my answer was. Unhealthy addiction to canoe to camp? Last election proved that. Kobold Press makes a good product but I am finding it harder and harder to justify the cost. No matter how you slice it, magic is at the heart of fantasy-and nothing says magic like a massive tome of spells. Despite this magic’s reputation, though, it can be used to create items of great potency. Shadow-wielding rogues, filth-paladins, face-stealing trickster druids. The book and PDF preorders will ship in late October, 2021.
